  • About Jennifer

    Vital Life Mentor

"Your vital force is your greatest resource."

I have dedicated my personal mastery and professional study to fostering human vitality, established in the knowledge that our vital force is our greatest resource.

With a Diploma from the Canadian College of Homeopathic Medicine, 18 years of clinical practice, and postgraduate studies leading to Fellowship status, I have cultivated a deep understanding of how to trust the vital force.

My approach uses natural Homeopathic Remedies alongside scientifically validated Coherence Techniques developed by the HeartMath Institute. As a Vital Life Mentor, I empower others with these powerful tools to break through limits and maximize their potential.

Although I work with individuals of any age or gender, my specialty is in maternal health. Why? Many women feel let down by their experiences in the medical system, especially regarding their births.

The vital force of both mother and baby can be influenced during pregnancy, impacted by labor, and conditioned by the family dynamic.

To address this, I study with the Wise Woman Way of Birth and Traditional Birth Companion communities, both of which emphasize the importance of physiological birth through a trauma-informed lens. Engaging in expert Homeopathic care before and or during pregnancy can serve as a catalyst for safe and gentle births.

Are you curious about how to naturally transform your individual vitality? Or innately navigate your birth and/or enhance the harmony within your family dynamic? To follow your intuition, book a FREE Discover Call or FREE Online Discovery Session.

I believe when humans foster a reliable connection to their vital force, the overall health of families will improve, creating an enlightening future for us all.

  • About Classical Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a holistic healing system based on the idea that the body can heal itself, with the help of remedies that stimulate its "vital force"—the intrinsic energy or life force that maintains health and balance. In homeopathy, symptoms of illness are seen as signs that the vital force is trying to restore balance.

Remedies, which are highly diluted natural substances, are chosen to match a person’s specific symptoms. This principle, known as “like cures like,” suggests that a substance causing symptoms in a healthy person can, in minute doses, help cure similar symptoms in someone who is unwell. By enhancing the body’s own healing capacity, homeopathy aims to gently support and restore overall well-being.

The concept of "like cures like"—or the principle that substances causing symptoms in a healthy person can treat similar symptoms in an ill person—has deep historical roots and forms the basis of homeopathy. Here’s a brief look at how this idea has evolved over time:

    Ancient Origins:

The concept of treating "like with like" is not unique to homeopathy and appears in ancient texts. The Greek physician Hippocrates, often called the father of medicine, is thought to have explored both oppositional treatments (treating with opposite effects) and the idea of treating "like with like." He recognized that certain symptoms or diseases could be remedied by substances that would cause similar symptoms in a healthy person, though this was not his primary focus.

    Alchemy and Paracelsus:

In the 16th century, the Swiss physician and alchemist Paracelsus developed ideas that foreshadowed "like cures like." He believed that small amounts of toxic substances could cure illnesses related to those substances. Paracelsus was a pioneer in recognizing that dosage is crucial and that poisons, in very small doses, could act as remedies.

Development by Samuel Hahnemann (18th Century):

The principle of "like cures like" was fully articulated and formalized by Samuel Hahnemann, a German physician and chemist, in the late 18th century. Disillusioned with the harsh medical treatments of his time, Hahnemann began experimenting with medicinal substances on himself and observed that certain substances could cause symptoms in healthy individuals that were similar to those they were known to cure in the sick. Through these experiments, he formulated the core homeopathic principle: Similia similibus curentur—“Let like be cured by like.” Hahnemann’s work was radical, as he promoted gentle, individualized treatment over aggressive methods common in that era.

    Expansion of Homeopathy (19th Century):

Homeopathy gained popularity across Europe and North America during the 19th century, with the principle of "like cures like" as a central tenet. Homeopathic institutions and practices were established, and it became a recognized system of medicine, particularly as people sought alternatives to mainstream medical practices, which often involved bloodletting and other extreme measures.

    Modern Applications and Controversy:

Today, "like cures like" remains a guiding principle in homeopathy, though the practice is sometimes met with skepticism due to the high dilutions used in remedies, which often leave little to no trace of the original substance. Despite this, homeopathy continues to be widely practiced, with supporters claiming it offers a holistic, gentle approach to healing that works by stimulating the body's own vital force.

The principle of "like cures like" reflects a philosophy that healing should align with the body’s natural processes, supporting balance and harmony rather than imposing opposing forces. This approach has resonated across centuries and remains a foundational element of homeopathy.

  • About Resilience Advantage Mentorship

I am a HeartMath Certified Trainer which allows me to teach the Resilience Advantage program. This program speaks to the heart of people’s everyday experience. The program addresses important topics such as vitality, stress, motivation, decision-making, relationships and health. In this era of accelerated global change, the need for people to learn evidence-based skills and practical strategies to improve resilience, vitality and overall well-being, while lowering stress has never been greater. Resilience-building skills are becoming essential for both personal and professional effectiveness as people cope with living in these fast-moving, complex times.

One of the resilience building skills we will practice is the Quick Coherence technique.

The Quick Coherence technique can be done in as little as a minute, making it ideal for quickly re-centering during challenging moments. Practicing it regularly can help build a more resilient and balanced emotional state over time. This approach aligns well with HeartMath's broader mission to support heart-brain synchronization as a foundation for well-being and peak performance.

  • About Traditional Birth Companionship

    Written by Billie Harrigan

A Traditional Birth Companion follows in the footsteps of those women who came before her, humbly serving the family in the way that best meets their needs. She brings wisdom, experience, and knowledge to a timeless process that unfolds more simply in the presence of understanding and compassion. She carries ancient wisdom regarding herbs, remedies, nutrition, family and faith, and brings new knowledge in the science and physiology of healthy pregnancy and safe birth. The wisdom of a traditional birth companion encompasses much more than just being with a mother giving birth. It addresses generations of misinformation, fear, trauma, and bondage to a system that harms women. It addresses current concerns with new strategies for wellness and wholeness.

A traditional birth companion (also known as a traditional birth attendant in some areas) is recognised around the world as an experienced mentor who provides non-medical care for women during their childbearing experience according to the customs and traditions of the culture in which they live. In places around the world where it’s not illegal to be a midwife without a license, then this role is considered to be a non-medically trained community midwife. In places where midwifery is regulated, the role is more like having an experienced wise-woman with you who knows a thing or two about holistic pregnancy wellness, how birth unfolds, how to support the conditions that makes it simpler and safer, and provides mentoring so that the family becomes more educated, equipped, and empowered for the parenting journey ahead.

A traditional birth companion operates within the traditions and culture in which she lives. We live in a technocratic culture where technology is at the top of the decision-making tree. That means that she provides non-medical support consistent with this paradigm by providing research-backed information and education relevant to conception, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and parenting from several academic disciplines, including medical, psychological, sociological, midwifery, epidemiological, historical, and even military research. It ain't "medical advice" for the confused. It's filling in the gaps in education and information that is sorely lacking in our technocratic model.

A well-educated, trained, and skilled companion can offer her community a variety of services:

    - childbirth education

    - holistic non-medical mentoring and education through prenatal visits, attending the birth, and postpartum care

    - fertility awareness and planning for conception

    - one-on-one consultations regarding pregnancy, birth, or postpartum concerns

    - knowledgeable peer support for processing previous births or birth-related trauma

    - help parents plan for a future pregnancy and birth according to their values and wishes

    - in-person or virtual visits for prenatal wellness

    - in-home care for the postpartum family

Jennifer as a Trauma Informed TBC:

What makes me unique as a trauma informed TBC is that, if requested, I can incorporate Professional Homeopathic Care and HeartMATH Resilience Tools to my Companion Services. Both modalities assist in optimizing health during pregnancy, provide pain management and solutions during labor and amplify the family bonding and harmony postpartum. My goal is to walk with the mother (and family) during her birth process and see her achieve the desired outcomes while welcoming her new baby.

"As first time parents we were super nervous about birth (fear of the unknown). I knew through my whole pregnancy that I wanted a doula mainly to be there to support my partner through the process. As soon as we met Jennifer, we instantly knew she was gonna be the one to help us through this journey. Jennifer has an aura about her that’ll just stick with you forever. She has not only helped us prenatally, at the birth and postpartum by being supportive, loving, and informative, she also went above and beyond to introduce us to Homeopathy. We focussed the remedies on my anxiety and mental health as well as my healing process after birth . I am so thankful to have had Jennifer alongside us for this sacred rite of passage, I wouldn’t have had the birth I planned to without her support, knowledge, and love. Jennifer is someone that’ll come into your life and change it for the better, she brings an energy that is out of this world. I cannot recommend Jennifer enough."

-  O.G. (first time mother)
