About Laura
Laura is a passionate primary healthcare provider inspired by the team-based care model at Kinsley Medical. Over twelve years living on the West Coast, she has utilized every opportunity to cultivate the unique skill set she brings to every primary care encounter. Laura’s practice is informed by an extensive background in rural emergency medicine, obstetrics and perinatal care, sexual health and women’s health care, public healthcare and mental health care. She is motivated to participate in your health journey by developing a client-centered care plan to address your health goals, including preventative health care services and lifestyle counselling across the lifespan.
A mother of three, Laura spends her days off exploring the West Coast on land and sea and tending to plants and animals on her family’s small-scale rural farm.

Kinsley Medical and Health Centre staff have been serving the Cowichan and surrounding communities since 2019 and are located in Duncan, BC. We are excited about our new name and look forward to continuing to serve you and your health care needs. Our team members are all local to the region of BC and we are happy to offer both virtual (in-home) and IN-person health care services to you and your loved ones.
We approach your health care from a wide lens, allowing for integration of your mental health, spiritual, emotional, physical, and cultural health. We will integrate your health goals into your health care plan and ensure you are guided along the entire process. We offer a multi-disciplinary referral process, ensuring you are connected to the right specialist, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, counselor, or any exact specialty area you require.
We appreciate the long wait times in emergency rooms and walk-in clinics, we also acknowledge there are thousands of BC residents that do not have a primary care provider. That’s why we are here! We are a Nurse practitioner lead clinic and are happy to provide you with urgent or non-urgent health care needs, including longitudinal care through a lifetime.
We are here to give you the best possible services, so you leave healthier than you arrived, and with more options for good health. We work collaboratively and cooperatively to ensure you get the very best services, whatever your needs.
